This site is a place for me to share writings that resonate with my ongoing formation as a recently professed Secular Franciscan.
I’ll try to add at least one quote daily but please don’t consider the name of the blog a promise.
The image at the top of the page is part of a photo of Assisi seen from Monte Subasio by Gunnar Bach Pedersen and I found it here.
If you have any comments, corrections or quote suggestions, please feel free to contact me at asecularfranciscan@gmail.com.
Why am I blogging anonymously? I had a couple blogs before this one and they were all about my career, all about my ambition, all about me. This time, I want it to be about something more in keeping with my Franciscan calling. Matthew 6 has also been on my mind lately: “Take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them.”
